The Rick and Susan Love Story
Meeting men was old school for me; old school as in we didn’t have the technology we do today. I am big on the Universal Law of Attraction as well as metaphysical principles & Intuition. Intuition has been a guiding force in meeting men and building a marriage. I can’t say I “listened” to my intuition back in the day, but once I did, you’ll see how intuition helped me attract the love of my life. Creating the extraordinary conscious, passionate marriage we have happened through learning the skills required, healing our own pasts, creating a solid foundation together, and being intentional every day.
The Story
I went to grad school a few years after I got divorced. I had wanted to go to that school for 9 years but my intuition kept telling me to wait. So in the year 2000, my intuition gave me the “green light” and off to grad school, I went. Early into our program, I met a guy named Rick who quickly became a dear friend. In December of that year, he asked me to do an intuitive reading for him. He was divorced and wanted to know if and when he would be married again, along with some information about “her”, and approximately when he would meet her.
The Reading
As I tuned in, I said to him that she was in our grad school program, she was approximately my age, was very intuitive and creative with a great sense of humor, he would know who it was within a month or two, and would be in relationship with her by March of the following year. I felt her name started with an “S” or a “C” sound- like “sssss”. We decided to refer to her as Cindy.
The Irony
Yeah, you’re already getting the picture…but at the time, I had no idea. Intuition can be funny that way.
After some time had passed, I realized that I had feelings for him and I didn’t want him to meet “that Cindy girl” I described in the intuitive reading, but wouldn’t say anything about how I really felt. There was no indication that he felt anything more than friendship for me, so I didn’t want to rock the friendship boat.
The Surprise
Weeks later, I got a major surprise. I received an email from him, confessing his deep love and feelings for me. I was stunned…and elated…and stunned. As we talked about being in a relationship, I knew March was coming along and he would meet ‘that Cindy girl” so I was hesitant. But to make this long story shorter, as I was dreading it, March came along, Rick asked me to be with him, and it turns out that the “Cindy girl” I was describing to him during the reading was in fact me and we entered into our relationship. Rick had found his next wife, just as I had predicted… but it took a while before I knew it was me.
The Reminder
How’s that for a cosmic lesson for this intuitive girl? We know what we need to know when we need to know it. When we are in sync with the Universe, we only know what is appropriate to come forward at the time of the reading. When I did the reading I was just ending an engagement. Who knows what would have happened if I had known, but followed the intuitive guidance I was given.
We eloped a couple of months later in May of 2001 and have been happily married since. I couldn’t imagine a better and more loving, insightful, soulful, conscious husband than I have found in Rick.
I truly know going from emotionally abusive relationships and a marriage filled with lying and betrayal to this marriage didn’t just “happen”. I created my own process, my own system, made the core essential shifts I needed to make on the inside so I could attract and evolve in this beautiful marriage in my physical world reality and have one that rocks my world!
Rick had done some similar work to attract me and being in our grad school program taught us more approaches to relationship and marriage success in a very deep, conscious way.
